Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Word Up

I've been at sams club for 5 yrs and still part time because I won't kiss their behinds. My hours of availability are 8am till 11pm.

Now with this dumb block scheduling they want me to work 4am to 9am. I have to take my daughter to school in the mornings.

I wasn't even told about my hours, I only found out yesterday when I checked the schedule. All of management's favourite people were quickly made full time about 2 weeks ago ,so they're safe. As for part time associates...well let's just say it ain't pretty !!!.

The ft associates sit back and watch the pt associates work till they drop. The c.o.s people are just lapdogs...and management couldn't run a bath...let alone a company.

Sams club is a complete joke with no ethics or respect for 5 he individual unless you are a lapdog !!!. As for a strike...I say bring it on !!!. The best time would be June 22nd 2019 weekend.

Sadly it won't make a sc-ap of difference to the ignorant managers and c.o.s id--ts ,but at least let's go down guns blazing !!!. I have spent 5 yrs of being harassed and treated like a 2nd class citizen.

I have notified management and even head office ,and nothing gets done. They don't like people making trouble for their little pathetic click. I am currently looking for another job ,and it's tough ,but I'll do it.

I am stronger than all ,and I will survive, and I'm taking as many people down as I can !!!. And for those who are afraid to quit...don't be because if you have filled in your hours of availability and the scum makes you work outside those hours ,then sams club is in breach of contract because as an employer they failed to honour your employment contract.

This is classed as a good cause for getting unemployment money if needed.

WORD UP !!!

A brief reply to the haters here. Yes I've taken a lot in 5 years due to having a family to support. My attitude is great thanks and I'm a very upbeat person, I don't whine or complain and get on great with a good 90 plus percent of the whole club. What you haters need to understand is family comes first. And when I'm on a good wage I can put up with anything. But the block scheduling just isn't good for me and my family. Hope this helps you understand.

I think the real problem is this person thinks they are a good worker but in all actuality, theyre lazy and have a cancerous attitude. Instead of looking in the mirror and fixing the real problem this excuse driven person blames the management. Unreal.

Dont think we are getting all the info from you. There are many shifts available thruout the day that can be assigned to you but I dont think it would matter in your case because you are one of those thats going to complain no matter what. After 5 years and you are still parttime says alot.

So many people quit because of block schedule it is over for Sam's my club where I work at 20 people quit already we understaffed. Got one manager she's quitting because she don't like what's going on

I'm a part time cashier. My available hours are 7am to 9:30pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. My schedule three weeks out is reflecting this. I'm still scheduled for 30 hours. I'm not having any problems. They still have to go by your availability. I think your manager is playing games.

Why not just change your availability? You are PT so you can have the flexibility. I made my availability open to 9:00 and am still getting good hours on the new format. Contact the market manager if you have an issue the CM is not taking care of.

You can not get unemployment in the state of Ohio if you quit a job. Ohio is a Right to work state. I don’t know what other states have on the books but not here! You have to prove unsafe or unstable working conditions and that is not an easy thing to do! just sayin
