Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Prepare Yourselves for the Next Cycle

A cautionary word to all those in the Oil and Gas business; now is the time to build up your cash reserves. From the pumpers to the floor hands, from the roustabouts to the land men, Engineers to Frac Supervisors, Drill Site Reps to ALCRs and HES to the Water Haulers. The next 24 months may play a key role in your preparation for the next several years. The storm may seem uncertain and surely a long ways off, but be confident a storm is surely coming. Cycles are a certainty. The man or woman who prepares well is often provided with uncommon opportunities and a measure of peace often lost by others. Let thee build a storehouse that provides for surety of clean water in times of drought and a warm hearth for your home throughout the harshness of winter's wrath. Make hay while the sun is shining but remember to store your grain as well.

In the traditional Christian marriage ceremony there is an important, maudlin moment in front of God when two people become one flesh. Far from being recrudescent, some would say this is similar to working for this outfit.

Be prepared college graduates and stay the hell away from chevron. There are so many better places to work. Consider Exxon, OXY, google, Apple. This is a spirit k--ling place with incompetence living off the assets that were built 30 years ago. It is collapsing like the likes of Ge and their is no long term future at this company

Amen my prepper brother! I am always prepared for the worse. Prepare for the worse, hope for the best, is the line that I like the best. Signs or no signs. it's all good. That doesn't mean you should let your guard down, is the main point.

Yes, -2pvz, just as easily the absence of a sign can mean nothing.

This means the absence of a sign can be a sign.

Your landlord can’t do anything for you. Bother him too much and he’ll raise the rent.

Interesting both Vanguard and Fidelity had news notes this month indications 69% of CFOs in Fortune 500 companies expect a recession in the next 12 months. That kind of pessimism can be self fulfilling. I am not a big fan a market timing, but might check the sails if I get some time in near future.

Just as life holds anyone liable for a white lie, it also offers immunity to those who preach a black truth, although this particular statement might now be considered desuetude.
