Disheartening

CULTURE IS GONE

I worked in a California Club for many many years. This past year Sams a a whole has gone down hill and it’s very heartbreaking. I absolutely loved my job until recently. It’s not so much the changes it’s the people they are bringing in off the street . I don’t even think they know who Sam Walton is. Absolutely NO respect for the individual !! Our MSS’s s--- !! New managers they bring off the street s--- ! In all my years I have never worked with such nasty individuals. I am in the position to retire and did so. Life is good 😎

Culture is gone in all states. In one of the TN clubs an associate was pulled out of one club and transferred to another club without notice or given any options. Where is the respect of the individual there? The company doesn’t care about the associates.

You’re so right. I worked for 27 years and the last few have been awful. My position was eliminated so I chose to leave. My stress level has gone down tremendously. Respect and culture have been forgotten. Two of the main things that were taught in orientations.

New hires do not even know who Sam Walton was. I miss my friends but not the job.

I’m glad I don’t have to do any of the block schedule nonsense. One of the few jewelry leads left and I am not going anywhere. Get real snowflakes.

I agree 100% the culture of the company that started this is gone with the wind. I too use to love my job but that passion is long gone. I to retired and loving it there is a wonderful life after sams club.

Preach! I also retired from California club and you are 100% right. There is no culture left and it just sad. Most don't even know what the word culture means let alone could care less about character, integrity, honesty or values. Market managers and Club managers who lie & cheat just to feed their egos or not do their jobs. When I retired, after 32 years, my Club manager knew nothing about Mr Sam or his ways of working. His rules for building a business all pertain to treating people right and "doing" business right which are non-existent today.

So glad I dont have to fight having values, integrity, morals, principles, character and having no life just to work at that place anymore. Life is so much easier. Its not the end of the world like many of us have been brainwashed to believe.
