FYI: In December 2010, a number of employees across the country left UOP voluntarily after upper management revealed that they would be reviewing the performance of the company on a quarterly basis. Because of this admission, many people understood this to mean that if the company continued to dip in new student enrollments, they would be looking to lay off more employees and they left, accordingly. At the end of the first quarter, there is the real chance of another workforce reduction if new student enrollment trends downward as anticipated. Refer to the link shown below for an idea of what the company projects the future of new student enrollment shall look like: http://www.azcentral.com/business/articles/2011/01/10/20110110university-of-phoenix-enrollment-drops.html

Educate yourself so that your not scared, but aware and prepared to face a brighter future should another round of lay offs occur. HAPPY NEW YEAR! KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!
