Apollo Boy. That is ridiculous. I was a manager for 6 years, my last review was May. Yes it was requires, but at the salary I was at, even if I had every ec at 5 enrollments per month I still would have been in requires. Do you know how many ec's average 5 per month? Less than half. My team was just recognized last week of being 1 of only 2 teams out of 640 to have 100% student survey satisfaction. You say I deserve to be laid off still? I was selected 1 of 6 managers out of 48 in my division to help with the transition from the old matrix to the new. So if I am so bad, why pick me? More proof? Until the Sept 1 change, my teams qc leads went from 4 per rep in Jan 2010 to 1 per rep per day. Less leads, same expectation. More proof? I had one ec get called to serve our country in Afghanistan, did I get a replacement in Feb? No, but my team was still held to the same budget. I had a female ec become pregnant, go on fmla for 3 months and quit, that counts against me 2. So is a team of 10 ecs supposed to do the same as a team of 12? The truth of the matter is I loved UOP and a lot of the people that worked there. But it was a numbers game. My review ended in May. IF I was so bad, why not let me go then? Why wait 7 months, have me a focus group leader, and get kudo emails? Maybe some people deserved to be let go, I don't know. But as a father with a family of 4 kids and devoted wife, I didn't. i never sat back and twiddled my thumbs. My director gets teared up when I have to leave, that tells me he knows something isn't right.
