i am a current enrollment advisor for uop and i will defend the company to no end. the university has adapted project progress which has been in development for many years. P2 was in fact already planned to roll out before the new regulations were to take place. Uop strives to make student experience their top priority and i have seen nothing less than that since i started working for there. I can say at our campus, our main goal is to inform current and prospective students to the fullest and educated them on responsible borrowing, and focus not on the "number" of students we enroll anymore, rather than the quality of the student. Uop introduced UNIV, a three week manditory workshop for students with under 24 college credits to assure they are prepared to take the next step as a college student before financial aid is even certified. This gives students the ability to make sure we are the right school for them and they are the right student for our school. We work long hours, and yes some days are stressful, but in the long run, we are providing a service to students. The university is heading in a great direction. no school OR company is perfect and not every day of work is going to be a "cake walk", but i can say knowing i go into work every day and not focus on the number of students i enroll but rather the quality conversations i have with students and the connection my team builds with our students far outweighs the negatives people say.
