Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Of course, like any business, if your revenue is down and you have to make cuts, then you make them. BUT 8 new EA positions opened up in Sac and I KNOW they're laying people off. So the people who are not enrolling are completely safe and the ones in other departments are going to lose their jobs because enrollment is down? Doesn't make sense. The other thing that doesn't make sense is that EA's are still being bullied, and pressured to get the numbers up although it's been taken off of their reviews and they can't "talk about numbers" BUT the EM's are still saying shit like "I want each of you to have 3 in the BSB next month. Oh, but we're not focused on numbers anymore. F***ing ridiculous. I HOPE I get laid off. This company does not follow an ethical code and all they did was find a loop hole in the merit increases where their enrollments can't be tied to their raises, so how are the EM's still semi- holding the EA's accountable? Through pressure, bullying, and intimidation. Those EM's are all up the EA's faces every day asking them about numbers. So the poor performing EA's, as in not getting enough students in, will be let go through "the competencies". An EM actually told me, "they can take away the numbers all they want, each core competency is still tied to a number." So when your core competencies suffer and you're let go for that...it's 'cause you didn't have enough enrollments. Ethical? I think not. This University will get their day in court. Their lack of ethics will discredit my career here, and will eventually ruin the little good reputation it still has.
