That is so true! I have decided to go from field to HR because of the perks! I mean, why should I bust my ass running my stores through EVERY holiday with no support? I have no input into the half baked ideas trickling down from corporate, through my RD, who clearly has no idea how a store actually runs. If I give any feed back or push back, I am not being a team player. Oh, and lets not forget the threats of not speaking up on calls or during visits, “because we don’t want Jenny to actually know what’s going on in the stores”. So we smile and lie, and she has no idea how a store runs, because she’s a merchant. When Sandra Tilett was here, she knew fact from crap. Now, we are running a big pile of crap, but the shirt it’s wearing is pretty, so we are good.

This is priceless! Since Corporate works so hard, we thank them by giving them off at 2pm before EVERY holiday. I called PEOPLE for help both Friday and Saturday, and got a message “they are closed for the holiday”. Apparently, only corporate works hard, and emergencies only happen during business hours. Another reason I am moving from field to HR! I do know how to use Edit-Replace, so I may be over qualified.
