They are not lies. The small bonuses and pay increases were a last ditch attempt to try to keep some employees from leaving. Remember, it was 5 years since any bonus was paid and 4 years since people got a pay increase. That is not a lie. Things have been bad, and they cannot pay out a lot because of how bad the cash situation is.
