Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Lots of the comments are confusing layoffs with downsizing. There are legitimate business reasons for downsizing in the for-profit education market. It's also a standard business practice everywhere to keep quiet about who's getting the boot until it actually happens, because if people find out ahead of time, they will either quit the job, quit working (while still showing up) or even sabotage the operation. It's funny to read all these postings suggesting evil conspiracies when in reality it's just capitalism at work. CCi is under the gun and acting as any other company in that position would act.
