Heald College "Presenters" being salesman that visit high schools nearby the campuses tell their bosses that the High School students are telling them that they are heading off to local community colleges. Almost ALL of the High School students have recent graduating Heald Alumni coming back to their high school alma mata telling them of their new careers such as "Working at Walmart, strip mall, working as a landscaper, working in the fields" along with over $20K of student loan debt and nonstop calls from debt collectors.
CCI bought Heald in 2009 and closed the Heald purchase in 2010. CCI ran the Heald franchise into the ground but to be fair Heald was having troubles even before CCI bought it.
The Heald dropout rate continues to increase on a quarterly basis and timely completion of programs is at a record low. California is cracking down on Heald with new restrictions based on student loan default rate.
It is complete shambles over at Heald and the administration apparently has decided to bury its head into the sand.
