Heald College sales people are not meeting their quotas along with working 60+ hour work weeks in phone-a-thons in an attempt to lure in the suckers, process the bodies, etc.
Unfortunately, the results have been EXTREMELY POOR. It looks like the upcoming October 2012 enrollment will be 20% lower than the October 2011 enrollment. While the Faculty will get a well deserved couple of weeks off, the sales people will be working around the clock trying to get some more bodies. It gets rough for the Faculty starting in October who to some extent has been insulated from the admission turmoil. Student retention will be discussed more and more at the faculty meetings. Expect an extremely DISMAL student quality for the new students arriving in October. Heald will try to get the BS programs up and running sooner than later. The longer it takes to get the BS programs up and running then the more difficult it will be to keep students. Heald instructors should try to get business related classes such as math and english to compliment their other classes. In particular, IT is done at Heald. IT will hang around at Heald for at most 1 or 2 years before being taught out. The smarter IT instructors have given up asking for badly needed new software and hardware. The CCNP upgrade to the curricula is going nowhere. The simple fact is that Northern California IT jobs require a BS degree.
