It's easier to target and fire people and NOT pay a severance, than just lay people off. They are not just targeting underperfomers, but also better paid tenured staff. The dishonesty and mind games to fire people in this manner speaks volumnes about where UOP is and what the culture is there now... this is a toxic company :/
