Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

I could not help thinking about the HUGE bonuses that the leadership made sure they paid themselves while at that Roadshow today. All of the discussion was about why the layoffs and secrecy were necessary. I mean, I get dollars and cents but please don't bullshit me. Insult to injury, they just built ANOTHER damned building in the online complex after laying over 800 people off?Legitimate questions were asked during the Roadshow about how we are told to push the value of education as a means for promotion but that people with masters degrees make no more (or sometimes less) than someone with an associate degree in this company. Got the standard "Yeah, we're going to take a look into that". Translation, shut up and be happy you have a job. Oh and please forget the fact that we're full of shit cuz we made sure that WE got paid!
