Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

CCi is bent on making Heald College a degree mill. Bent on making money. I have been told by a management person (when I was in management, before going back to teaching and EDUCATING students) that "teachers are a liability." Think about that. Heald is a great college. Corinthian wants to sink it - through high tuitions, bending over backwards to textbook publishers (curriculum is driven by them, not teachers), firing teachers and hiring MORE admissions staff to harass leads from 2007 and such, screwing with benefits, pushing teachers to adjunct and making program directors manage and also teach 3 classes (and WHEN can they take their supposed vacation?), teachers' schedules change drastically quarter to quarter. I am ashamed to work for Corinthian. They have ruined Heald. Shame on for-profit educfaketion. Can't wait to find another job in a company that is honest. Alas, poor Heald, I knew you well.
