Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

It is very sad that people are just on here making comments. I work at the University and we care about our students. My daughters went to two traditional colleges and they had to stand on their heads to meet with their counselor but that is okay as they are supported by the govenment so all gets covered up. They don't give a crap about there students as they have a pot of gold at all the high schools grabbing as many seniors to attend their colleges. They promise them the world until they get there and then they have issues meeting with counselors but they are young kids so they don't complain instead they get fustrated and drop out. Why do you think for profit schools have so many students? That is why the traditional schools are copying the UOPX way. Todd Nelson at a dinner talked about the UOPX education was and someone from a traditional college in Tucson stood up and state to all the others fro traditional schools that we are really missing the boat if we do not follow the UOPX structure. Here you go they are all doing it but it is okay as they are a traditional college with a football team that soaks up most of the money at there school but that is okay. Get a life.
