Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Layoffs technically are not supposed to be made known until it happens

Layoffs technically are not supposed to be made known until it happens. Even if HR and other leadership say its not, it is because they aren't supposed to tell which is why there are anonymous websites like this one. Companies only have to make it known publicly when it happens if the layoffs affect over a certain percentage of the company which we have seen with our previous layoffs. Those who have direct involvement with this process (IT Guy) are sharing this information in a resource that doesn't provide a link back to them, keeping them from being the person who said it. If a person who is supposed to keep this information a secret gets there name out it can result on termination leaving no form of severance. June 10th is coming and whether or not it happens we should always prepare ourselves for this outcome as we are in an environment that is not safe, mainly to those who do not of integrity of the job and the "customer".
