Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

Hello all :-) @The Truth Thank you! After reading your post I was inspired to do some research into unemployment and what i have found scares me away from signing the VSO. I initially decided to sign it and accept my fate with L3. But now i decided to take my chances with a possible shuffle and ultimately any future layoff. Apperantly any unemployment benefits a person qualify for are decided by state government case workers and i've read they all pretty much have god complexes. So basically if they don't take to you right away or you aren't some gorgeous/beautiful woman then your chances of getting benefits if you sign the VSO are slim to none. I am a 59 year old male living paycheck to paycheck. I'm not sexy or handsome in anyway, my chances of finding a replacement job that will sustain my basic current lifestyle is as good as me crapping out a 14k gold bar. It ain't going to happen, my chances are better with any shuffle and possibly avoiding the chopping block than if I sign the VSO. I suggest others do some real research before signing the VSO as well, you have to make a real life altering decision don't make the decision without being educated.
