Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

I agree, Succubii

I agree, Succubii. Why did ANYONE in management think ti was a good idea to create more levels of "management" to micromanage everyone actually performing work? Here's an example: Worker A has to stop to talk to Team Lead 1 or 2 (who can charge up to 50% of his/her time to overhead everyday, i.e. screw off and play with Excel or surf the web). Team Lead 1 or 2 then chats a lot with Supervisor 1 or 2, or maybe some other people, and says "Yeah, we're working!". Supervisor 1 or 2 then reports to PM, LTE, Manager, OPM, Director and maybe some "tiger team" members" during various .5 to 2 hour meetings everyday, after that he/she is done for the day. Mid-Managers, in the meantime, spend 30 minutes telling upper-level management that "things are happening" and then they ALL wait for that all-important "Pass-Down" from the 1 guy doing the actual work that they are concerned about. If it's late, they blame that guy and he gets rewarded with unwanted overtime while the rest of the chain goes home to be with their family or polish their yachts, w/e the case. Lose money? Fire the FIRST guy in the chain... wow you wonder why profit margins are down. LOL!
