Numerous people were let go at EDMC on June 27, 2013. According to an article on the Post Gazette, the percentage was something like 10 percent. Employees whose jobs were eliminated were given absoltuely no explanation for why we were eliminated but our coworkers with the same responsibilities were not - only that the company has financial issues. Everybody in management gives the same pre-written response when asked, as though HR is constantly secretly recording them. Other than the Post Gazette, it seems like all other media is ignoring this. The company recently hired an outside firm - Synergistics or Synergy? - to help them with publicity.
