Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

(DEFAULT DEPT)- I worked in default and we really harrassed the students, in fact we outright waited outside the school for many students. Well what did you expect when one gives an additional private loan (min %4,000-6,000) to someone unemployed the day they signed up but now is expected to make monthly payments? I don't understand this concept? But CCI is only interested in getting the government monies they could careless about a person's financial burdens after they drop or leave school. The only reason why are dept existed was to look better to the goverment agencies scrutizing these for profit schools. Its a front. I remember in Florida the call center in student loans/default were giving students gift cards if they made their loan payments. When our campus found out (by reading the default notes) we reported the call center and they put an immediate stop to it. All to make help bring down the default/delinquent ratios so we look good to the goverment agencies- had nothing to do with helping someone.
