Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Here is what I have heard so far

Here is what I have heard so far. Layoffs will continue for the rest of this AY so nobody is "safe". It looks like they are going to 1 "main campus" with LCs in states where that can happen. The LCs are main campuses that are losing LCs and being merged with another campus. Also, I have heard the layoffs are based on tenure. Managers can't save their favorites. Directors are asked to "evaluate" their employees and decisions are based on that information too. I'm not sure how legal that is but I saw my director type the email for my department and a month later my entire department was laid off and merged with another campus. Before anyone starts saying we didn't do our job, you can save your typing. My department was out performing every department in my state. We were understaffed and still performing better than everyone. I will tell you this..the grass is not greener on the other side. Everyone here might hate how UOP is operating but I started working for another university in January and it is horrible. Internally, UOP has it right. The problem is the leadership at UOP and Apollo. Wouldn't it be great if UOP practiced what they teach?
