Good luck to those recently let go... there are jobs out there, just plan to relocating... took me 4 months and upwards of 600 applications but I was able to find a comparable job. Keep your chins up and battle on.
As to L-3... eh, I went through the stuff at CS-E prior to joining CS-W. At least CS-E did it with class. Everyone knew it was coming. It was done in 1 fell swoop. You were given 2 weeks notice on it so you could clean up things you were working on and start applying for jobs and just get ready emotionally. My comments to the HR person in April... at least CS-E did it with some class. Not letting me say goodbye and escorting me out like a criminal were just plain lowbrow. Thank God I had emailed out the document I had spent 2 days working on 5 minutes prior to getting called to my boss's office huh?
In the end, I'm far better off outside of the toxic environment that is L-3 CS-W. Whether it's a "West Coast" thing... a "Wasatch" thing... a "Mormon" thing... a "woman led division" thing... or something different altogether, that's quite simply an organization that is entirely screwed up top to bottom. Those of you who do "survive" are still best off escaping as quickly as possible!
