yeah, Roger, makes sense to me. If they follow the past pattern, there will be a layoff of one group of a few hundred or so this Thursday. Those getting laid off will get this weeks pay of 40 hours on a paper check, with any extra VT remaining compensated as well. You'll get a spiel from an HR rep, then turn in your badge and any company property, FOBS etc. You will sign a non-disclosure with security promising to forget anything you knew (if you have a clearance). You'll be asked if you left anything at your work area that would prevent you from immediately leaving the property, such as car keys or clothing, purse etc.., so take all that crap with you to make sure you can leave right afterwards. If you have any FH time and you think you're on the list, now is a good time to use it since they won't pay you for that. And finally, make sure you have your reference list and contact information from colleagues.
