First, Camden Kid, I think you have great dedication and compassion for higher education. I loudly praise what you are doing. There are many issues where University of Phoenix should be called to the carpet. It should be an institution of integrity that earns public trust while providing a substantial service and commitment to its students and employees. In many areas (but not all), integrity, as well as service and commitment to the students and employees has not been the case at University of Phoenix. However even with that said, I have never seen or heard of any kickbacks to any AA, EA, or AC. I believe CD’s, DOE’s, etc. get end-of-the-year-bonuses based on their campus’ performance but these bonuses, to my knowledge, are not shared with staff below management or executive levels. Instead, the bonuses are pocketed by the executives, CD’s, and his or her cronies. Second, you are right in saying that University of Phoenix does not have entrance exams but this is one area where I commend UoP. Historically, entrance exams purposely have been used to keep various groups out of higher education. However, it has been found that there are potential college-level students who are poor “test-takers” because they fear exams. A poor showing on an entrance exam has been proven to be an inaccurate indicator of a student’s potential and capability. I agree with you that yes, there is extreme corruption at the executive and management levels of University of Phoenix. The Department of Education, Higher Learning Commission, and many other government and public interest advocacy groups should investigate the executive and management levels of University of Phoenix and punish them for several on-going instances of blatant violations of the law as well as employee and public trust; yet, emphatically I say I have not witness corruption or kickbacks at the enrollment and academic levels.
