I am waiting for the call (meeting request) like everyone else, and the jokes are hilarious. If you think your dept is getting cut, and you haven't been proactive about finding a backup plan then you will be screwed when you have to compete with all your former peers in the job market. This forum isn't going to give you enough heads up to change the outcome. Embrace it, we are all doomed. Get your resume out there already. Devon and AEP are collecting resumes and cherry picking who they want. Worst case scenario is waiting around and ending up as one of the suckers playing clean up at a wounded company with sub par benefits and dead culture.
