Thread regarding Follett layoffs

separation agreement

Following up my initial post. Section 8 of my separation agreement states "Further, employee specifically waives any right to, and will not accept, any monetary damages or OTHER RELIEF personal to the employee obtained through the filing of any charge or CLAIM with any federal state, or local agency relating to the employees employment with, or separation of employment from the company"

I'm interpreting this as they want us to sign the contract, collect severance (4 weeks worth of pay) and not be allowed to collect unemployment. There is also a clause that states we can't say anything negative about the company on social media (ok?) We have to agree to this to get our severance pay.

I haven't signed anything yet....any comments would help
