Well, in the long run, only a company that has purged its poor practices will perform in stock price. You may be eager for the near term placidity, but its unstable until the problems are aired. Leaving aside motives for a bit --some stuff still stinks.
For instance: after selling off almost all of its lucrative gathering and midstream businesses, revenues in that division are UP! The numbers dont add up -- new oil gathering and marketing streams are not nearly enough to account for the massive increases. So it appears your stock price is based on something a little unstable. The question is what?
