Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Although I am happy that I left UoP months ago, it is sickening to hear what happened to many of my friends who were still there -- two massive layoffs in one year with a prediction of more layoffs to come. There is no way UoP can survive this latest round of cuts. It will either close its doors soon or be sold as junk to another school. All the classic signs of UoP’s going out of business are there. Hey UoP execs here is a basic course in management. The first lesson of Management 101 is “treat your employees like you want them to treat your customers.” How UoP executives cannot know this simple rule of management is beyond understanding. Employees have parents, siblings, children, neighbours, friends, etc. Anything done to an employee ripples throughout their world of contacts so is it any wonder why enrolment keeps dropping. All I will say to the employees left at UoP is get out as soon as you can. Battered women usually stay in a bad relationship because they think they can’t leave or they hope “he’ll” change one day. UoP employees who stay with UoP thinking “oh, UoP will change one day and finally love me for the sacrifices I’ve made,” or “there is no place for me to go,” are thinking like battered women. Wake up! A snake doesn’t change! And, there are more fish in the sea. How much more are you going to take?
