Thread regarding Follett layoffs

It isn't just Westmont that's the problem, it's the entire company

It isn't just Westmont that's the problem, it's the entire company. There are hardly any internal promotions at all no matter how hard you work. The only people I knew in accounting that were promoted were: Two suckups that are in the Assistant Controllers' pockets, one who had everyone else in his department leave so he had to do their extra work so he got promoted since he was doing higher level work out of necessity, and a Follett family member that got promoted from a I to a Senior in less than 2 years. What kind of incentive is that for those who don't kiss butt and aren't lucky enough to be part of the greedy family? Out of 29 people under my top manager, only the one suckup who is the biggest douche ever got promoted. So does that mean the other employees suck at their jobs, or that management doesn't give a crap about the employees careers and helping them grow and advance. I and a lot of other people suggest the latter, and that's why so many are jumping the sinking ship. Those that have brains and guts and can see the entire picture.
