In regards to whether you should give a notice, I have always thought that you have to give respect to get respect. Follett has not treated employees with respect for years, as evidenced by the November, and previous, layoff. I do not think management has earned a two weeks notice from ANY of their employees. I would leave them without a manager, if it were me. It's not like you will be looking for references from anyone at Follett- they too will be gone anyway.
