Reference an 8-k securities filing dated 15 April 2013: non compete for employees ( text reads will not hire chesapeake employees for one year as of January 29,2013) - means it runs out January 29, 2014...just to be safe I would hold off submitting a résumé until February 1, 2014. There are exceptions made if you were laid off by Chesapeake or if you were a personal staff member but for those looking to voluntarily leave, February 1st would definitely be in the open window for résumé submission officially.

Like him or dislike him, Aubrey has single handedly employed more people than anyone else likely reading this, and creating jobs is something most people can appreciate.
