It's Senior management's responsibility to guide the company, to recruit and maintain the highest quality of staffing, to create and maintain customers, to set the standards of service to those customers and to be an example of how we should treat our customers based upon how they treat their own staff, to have the vision required to keep us on the cutting edge and ahead of competition. To anticipate the challenges that will effect our business and to act versus reacting to those issues. Now ask yourself, does Follett have the Senior staff with those skill sets? Mary--ask yourself, "when was the last time a member of the senior staff said to you, " I respect your thoughts on this issue but I don't agree for the following reasons". That is how you determine if you have a YES team around you. Also also ask yourself, " which members of my senior staff have created new ideas which when implemented enhanced the level of service without decreasing margins."
