Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Cut the contracts forcing follett to operate a store, have off campus locations that cater to the broader campus community. Stop pushing efollett to become another amazon--this would have been innovative pre-2005. Now, its just another copycat model. 10's of millions going into upgrading efollett that should have happened years ago. Finally, dont ask this question on a message board--these discussions should be occuring with the people who are actually performing the jobs out in the field. As 3649 points out, this is indemic of the top to down culture at follett. Ask your people what ideas they have and i bet, if really allowed to speak there minds, they will give you maybe 1 of 10 that is a really good one. Truly empower your people, allow them to fail and try again. You may be surprised at what happens.
