What “Deceptive Recruiting Practices”?

Online classes are difficult. PERIOD. They are more difficult than going to a physical classroom; however, the day belongs to the “lazy, do-everything-for-me student” who believes an online class is like a video game. They think you log-in, push a few buttons, and blip, blam, wham, done! When they start online and realize the amount of work, sacrifice, self-discipline, and dedication required to complete an online course, many students will start looking for any easy, self-esteem saving way to worm out and then the answer comes to them like a bolt of lightning . . . . “hey, I was a victim of deceptive recruiting practices.” I think the only times a student should be able to claim deceptive recruiting practices are if the student has a medically-proven mental impairment or the recruiter promised something false that proved to be a detriment to the student. UoP is an accredited school if you don’t like the school, you can transfer to another. If your new school is accredited, the school may look at the coursework you completed at UoP to find if you can transfer the work you did into their program. This means the student hasn’t lost anything attending UoP so where’s the “detriment” to the student or the deceptive recruiting practice? It’s not recruiting that’s killing UoP! It’s the outrageous tuition along with the crazy nut job managers and directors.
