VACATION BEING TAMPERED WITH NOW

CORINTHIAN CONTINUES TO DO "THE MESS AROUND"

So by setting all vacation time to zero starting March 29th, then giving us 100% of our vacation for through January 3rd 2015: Question what happens if you take a 2 week vacation in May 2014 will I have to pay back the time that has not accrued yet? I think this is another sham, let alone the fact that most not received a raise in over 3 years.

If employee leaves they have no vacation hours to cash in.

The new policy allows employees to use the vacation days anytime after they "reset" hence no need to accrue in order to "use", but if they leave, they will have to repay it.

Nooooooooooooo. If you leave the company with a vacation balance you will not get paid out. If you use all your vacation time within the allotted year, you do not have to pay it back, even if you leave before the year is through. Read the email, and have someone explain it to you,I doubt you are in HR. A 3-5% increase is COLA which some companies have as policy.

Actually most other companies that I am aware of have and are still giving raises, in fact my wife and both sons have been consistently getting raises, true not huge raises but in the 3 to 4% range. But then again their companies are not tanking as ours is. We are simply tanking because of the individuals at the top of the chain. There are some outside influences that are also adding to this. But other for profits stocks do seem to still be doing well.

6665, If an employee uses their vacation in May 2014 and decides to leave on August 2014, they WILL HAVE TO PAY BACK the vacation that they took. The new policy allows employees to use the vacation days anytime after they "reset" hence no need to accrue in order to "use", but if they leave, they will have to repay it.

Upset and Tired...Did you not listen to the presentation? THERE IS NO MORE ACCURAL. YOUR VACATION TIME RESETS ANNUALLY. You should really bring those questions up with your director, instead of venting here over a non issue.

Most of corporate America hasn't had a raise in over 3 years, welcome to the Thunderdome...BTW it sounds like you need a vacation

Actually, vacation balances are being reset on March 30th and everyone employed will have a full year of vacation to use in the remaining 9 months of the year.
