@Anonymous7355 (Administration), as far as accountability goes, it goes all the way up to the top--to Jack Massimino and to Wells Fargo, their top investor. Desperate CCi VP Kent Jenkins also knows, and its unlikely he will be able to keep a lid on it for too many more years. You cannot tell me that Jack Massimino doesn't know what's happening in marketing, advertising, recruitment, financial advisement, and student grading. They have seen the damning emails. John C. Hueston also knows, because that's his job. The only thing they have now are excuses and defenses (what Sykes and Matza referred as "techniques of neutralization"). That's why CCi hired a former Enron prosecutor to head the crisis management team. And that's why CCi continues to keep Marc Morial on their payroll.

If the trial lawyers thought there was any money in going after CCi, wouldn't they be advertising everywhere CCi advertises, looking for former students? Most of the pending litigation (the AGs for example) is seeking injunctions, which would do nothing more than order CCi to do what it is already legally obligated to do. I'm no fan of CCi's sales tactics or any falsification of information. Most of the negative postings on this site refer to the departments that were guilty of falsification (admissions, financial aid, placement) and it would be nice if everyone responsible could be held personally accountable. I just don't think that is going to happen.

Since we've got the lawyers' attention, maybe they can discuss CCi lawsuits related to EEOC claims, Department of Labor claims, and NLRB claims. Patterns of sexual harassment, age, gender, and racial discrimination, discrimination against veterans families, and union busting can only stay in house for so long, particularly when you are firing skilled people who have worked for CCi for years. This will be especially visible when smart lawyers get a critical mass of solid cases for lucrative class action lawsuits. CCi stockholders (and a handful of students) have already figured this out.

Thank you Dan Shaulis! You give us hope and encouragement to be strong and step forward when fraud occurs. It seems that you are a bit of a threat to CCI now.

@Anonymous7337, please consider brushing up on your reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. And if you are at work at CCi, please find something better to do. Have you fired your quota already?

There exists only two lawyers in this world that are qualified?

I wish Camden Kid would share his bong!

Anonymous7333 (Administration). I'm not sure that a trained lawyer or administrator would be dumb enough to post for the CCi side here. A smart administrator shouldn't even monitor the site. Remember, just because you are anonymous doesn't mean that people cannot figure out who you are. IT people and computer geeks are some of the ones CCi is firing. After looking at the evidence, and CCi's track record, I'm generally going to side with the one's who have the courage and endurance to sue. They may or may not decide to take the deals, but I do understand why they decide not to fight it for several years. It's too bad more CCi employees and students know about all the cases (they're not always easy to find). I'd really like to see more CCi employees abd students do class actions (ones large enough to make the LA Times, NY Times, mainstream tv).

I am a lawyer, as it happens, but I don't work for CCi's administration. I'm a little too smart for that. There are other administrations, Dahn. Moreover, your comments, and quite a few other postings you have made here and elsewhere, make it clear that you don't understand the litigation process. The documents filed in court are public record, so anyone can access them if they wish. However, those documents reflect allegations, not evidence. There are at least two sides in every dispute, and reading the allegations of one party does not provide a full and informed view of the dispute.

To Admin, as usual, CCI is never at fault. CCI is there for the student, supporting them on their quest for self-improvement. CCI is a great place to work. At least that is what CCI corporate and regional reps continuously report while at the same time use countless efforts to conceal their pending litigations and EEOC complaints. CCI corporate, regional and campus level personnel set up the environment to encourage fraud. Once this is discovered on an internal audit, someone may or may not be fired. It depends on how good of an explanation can be concocted. This corporation is corrupt in many ways.

@Anonymous7329(Administration). Unless you are John C. Hueston, Darren Gold, or one of their cronies, you are also not a lawyer. And if you are one of these men (or their cronies), is this the best use of your time?

I have seen court filings againist CCI that are pending. They look compelling to me, and they will look really bad for Corinthian Colleges if they come out in public. If these cases do come out, CCi is going to look even worse than they do already. If you do keep a lid on these cases, it's going to cost money that stockolders won't be happy with.

The firings are not illegal, Dahn. You go to law school and learn the law and pass the bar and practice employment law for a few years, and then you may be qualified to render an opinion on what is legal and what is not. Currently you are not qualified to render that opinion. Your opinion on the issue of "illegal" firings is as misinformed as most of your other opinions.

@Anonymous7328 (Administration) This sounds like something Kent Jenkins would say--to cover his a**. This is not propaganda--it's good journalism (something that the FPEs abhor). You are right, Admin, that this shows just how clever the for-profit industry has become. Mr. Halperin doesn't dig far enough, in my estimation, to show just how wealthy the top executives of CCi are--and how they are illegally firing people as they exploit vulnerable prospects. I'll "lend" the book out to anyone at CCI who provides me with significant information about top-level executives at CCi.

Save your dollar. This is just a re-hash of the same old tired propaganda that has been going around Washington for the past few years. If anything, Halperin shows that the for-profits are out-maneuvering their critics.
