there's no loyalty. Thing is, the company underestimates how quickly this information gets around - publicly. Think competitors are waiting to buy BU's until there needs to be a fire-sale. Conspicuous with the low share price that no-one has made an offer for the whole company over the last 18 months. It's far too much of a mess. Would be like buying a wrote-off car at full price from a car dealership on the basis of 'all the parts are there sir'.
Cuts made today at the plant in east texas. Several let go. 2 had been there 30 plus years. What a way to honor long term commitment to a company. Given a pink slip and escorted to the door.
I can believe that in regards to the "clean up." There have been some deep cuts in the last week. People who have been here years and it hurts to see them go.
I heard they were going to be clearing house clean through March from someone high up. They are currently going through bios to determine who to keep. Their credit rating is dropping. Almost looks like a belly up..
I heard there were about 40 layoffs before lunch today and about 15 or so after lunch at SJP
This is all so very sad. Does anyone have any idea where they will be heading after they finish in all the Houston locations?
Any info on departments?
