Sears/Kmart is indeed on life support. It's assets are on what's giving it life support, but now here's the news on Eddie Lampert's new Seritage Holdings and Sears Holdings share holder lawsuit on this: http://mgklaw.com/shareholder-class-action-filed-against-sears/
"The lawsuit claims that the proposed $2.5 billion sale will benefit Lampert at the cost of the company’s shareholders, and lead to the further decline and perhaps demise of the company."
