Hi, I have seen so much here that I cannot fathom why I have stayed. Management does not care one bit about staff and the life-changing impact many of their decisions have made to colleagues. A culture of fear rather than 'all in it together' is flowing through the company.
I am handing in my notice this Friday - simply to get out knowing that there are jobs out there and having a shorter notice period may well help me.
I fully understand cutbacks, etc - as it happens within any company (and is healthy) but the oil price is pretty good and I can only imagine how deep the cuts will be in 1 or 2 years when it slides again and the company needs to 're-size'........ again. One worrying thing is it's being re-sized for an oil price of over $100 per barrel.
