How do I short CCI?

I have been with CCI since 2006, poor pay, shitty managers, overall bad experience. Now, it may be time to cash in, we will go bankrupt for sure, I am pretty low in the hierarchy, so no insider info here, but I see that we are melting down. There is no return. I saved 40k and wanted to see how I can short our stock. Is this posible and what brokerage I should use. Thanks.

I think the OP was asking how to short stocks, specifically COCO, nobody provided an answer. 27 million shares are sold short with 13 days to cover. The number keeps rising - so at some point the short positions will have to be covered, this will likely cause stock price to jump up. I too think that you cannot short shares under five bucks using the major brokers (like eTrade or Scottrade) but someone else might have a better opinion.

don't take advice from buying pot stocks. They came and went in January to March that's when you could've made the most money right now they are worthless and they're not going up. I made 10k in one week of the 2k investment

Had a colleague that was laid off in February and he invested his severance into Marijuana stocks. Doubled his money in 3 months. Better buy weed stocks that CCi "weak" stocks. Just saying...

Cannot short stocks that are less than five bucks. To short a share, a share needs to be borrowed somewhere, the broker borrows from folks that buy on margin. Since they do not let people buy penny stocks (less than $1 per share) on margin, there is simply no pool of stocks where the broker can borrow from. So, to put it simply: you cannot short COCO now due to low share price. Finally, look at the trading volumes - they are VERY low (under one million dollars per day) therefore, your $40K would represent 4% of the overall daily volume, where would such large number of shares be borrowed from? Good luck with your investment, yet CCI seems not to be in your cards.

Hey, it's your money. But what if the lawsuits are settled? What if there's a quick sale? What if a major investor steps in? What if Jack M. gets fired? And a 50% shot at hitting it are terrible odds. If you're only 50% confidence don't do it. Good luck.

Give me one plausable reason for a rally. At 50 pct chance of bankruptcy, she actualy has 50 pct chance of easily making 40,000. The risks of stock going up are much smaller. Just saying

Maybe. Does anybody really have the balls to touch that stock though? Imagine getting burned if the stock should somehow rally. Ouch.

not sure if he or she is late now - we'll soon have a reverse stock split and things will continue to go down

You'll have to find somebody willing to let you short penny stocks. But why bother now? The time to go short was 2-3 years ago. You missed the party.
