I don't think Mary Lee gives a f*** about any of this...in her year and a half at Follett she has laid off hundreds and killed any future for those left. You all need to hit her where it hurts....the bottom line. Find out where the revenue IS coming from and then educate those customers on the real Follett.

Pearson has a mature Digital online apps developed, ebooks, tests, quizzes they have 5% stake in B&N and just partner with MS.
There are no buyers for Follett. Barely made a profit last year and the industry in general is declining. Strength has always been used books and on campus stores.
Amazon's got it right. Host the website and pay a % on all purchases by students not just the books and clothing. In addition, the school gets the valuable space back. Digital will be the final nail.
To sell the company they need to improve the bottom line. Close unprofitable stores and quit escalating bidding with BN.
B&N keeps out bidding. Follett losing contracts. what's going on?
Think they are really going to sell? Just college stores?
Well that explains a lot, the secrets, the new comers, trying VC with new businesses, too much invested and no clear direction, now its going be a matter of taking all the cash out of the business as possible. The VC investments seemed a waste unless there are tax incentives or all is not on the table.
The board doesn't care, they just want it sold no matter what it takes.
They don't even know the numbers? She wrote she'll be fine, no problem. It's not just her, the WHOLE "NEW" team should be adios, don't let the door hit you behind you as you are walking out. Some of that "NEW" team members were previous Follett employees who joined this bandwagon from the get go and encourage this berating, egotistical behavior of management and we're so happy to be part of the new fascism regimes.
