Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

We here at CCi know what's important!

All of you seem to be concentrating on lack of revenues, stock price, lack of cash, excessive debt and massive losses. Why aren't you all spending your time fighting the proposed Gainful Employment rules. Just because Congress has already directed the Department of Education to promulgate such rules does not suggest you should be spending your time complaining about layoffs and poor finance performance. Do what's really important: Fight these proposed Gainful Employment rules!

I think this person has had too much of the Corinthian koolaid. You'll be singing a different tune when they hand you your pink slip and trust me, there is NO loyalty amongst these thieves!

All the for-profits needs to comply with the Gainful Employment rules. Period. Stop fighting them and figure out how to meet the very reasonable standards the rules set. Can't do it, CCi managers? Then you are useless and you must resign today. Not tomorrow. Today.

Oh but we do understand you 9352. You are suggesting that the people that you have already cut, or that those that will be laid off, will be responsible for their own joblessness because they didn't fight your miserable fight for you. What part of the Gainful Employment Act has you so desperate that you are willing to reach down into the trenches and ask for help? If you are doing things correctly, the students you graduate should be well educated, gainfully employed, and capable of paying back reasonable loans. Also, hated the weather excuse for low enrollments. Your employees have been expected to give nothing less than top performances when their office temps were all but icy or 90+ degrees. And they did despite the company's disregard for their well being. So ironic that CCI/Heald/Wyotech would use the weather as an excuse for failing their stockholders. There are other businesses nationwide who are doing amazingly well. If stockholders are falling for the silly weather excuse, well then CCI has got them right in their pocket where they want them.

It is real cold to suggest that discussing layoffs is not important on a board designed to discuss layoffs.

I know who is impotent at CCi. Does that count for anything?

Yes, and that means getting rid of the idiots who got cci into this mess. That's how this works. It's politics.

Again, you're concentrating on the wrong thing: WF only cares about getting its cash back.

That may happen when WF flexes its muscle.

That would require a total cleaning of the house, from the pretend board of directors through the C-suite and down through whatever middle management is left.

Wouldn't it be nice if the CCi leadership (using that term very loosely, since they are all just tools, not leaders) came up with ways to comply with the rules? Shouldn't career college graduates get jobs and be able to pay back their loans?

That is probably true. The AG actions are politically motivated, so a settlement is likely. But, will CCi be able,to attract students in the future?

We here at CCi will evade every Attorney General too!

With all due respect: bullshiIt. The proposed rules can be evaded just like the current

laws and rules and regulations are being evaded. You are missing the point entirely.
