There were days I had to miss school because everywhere else was on a holiday except for them. I have a daughter in elementary. Public schools, day cares, and banks closed and yet Everest was still open. Everest takes attendance also and if you miss so many days in a row, they will drop you from the program. They say it is not their rules but the accreditation rules, but I have attended college elsewhere and have never seen attendance be taken.

I suggest don't show up. Time to get out.
Furthermore, You are a student and you should be in class. The government is paying for you to go to school and you are more than likely never going to pay them back so that least you can do is SHOW UP!!
Everest is correct regarding attendance is mandatory. It is a federal regulation. It regards students receiving loans, etc. I believe that Dept. of Education promoted the rule. The fact that not all schools have this requirement is not relevant.
