The Ceremony location changed from the Convention Center to Petco Park.
The University would like to thank the Padres for allowing the event to take place during the 7th inning stretch. Additionally the University wanted to thank Delaware North, the concession operator at Petco for allowing their staff many of whom attended the University to take their 10 minute break to participate in the event. For the graduates that were not working that day their diplomas were shot out of the T-shirt guns.
One graduate stated he was more excited about his Padre Beach Towel and
Ted Leitner Bobble Head than his Diploma. He followed up by saying
"They all have similar value but the Bobble Head will look better on the mantel."
Next years ceremony will be held at the Jiffy Lube on Convoy St. The Diplomas will be issued along with a discounted oil change. The Diploma will also serve as the floor mat.
