Jokes on you ML. Spent all this money on website endeavors and resources, but, MY SITE IS MESSED UP. They put so much money into a project that doesn't appear to have launched successfully. Bring our store's staff back! Efollett isn't ready for a takeover.

students don't want to type anything. They want to search by image. They want to take a picture of the barcode, title or isbn. Search by that and they'll like it. Make them type in a longish code and they won't adopt it.
Poor user experience, students will type in isbn numbers in the new text search box but unless the book in question is adopted it wont display a result (even though skyo or another bookstore may have it). Bounce rafe will be high as students have been trained by the likes of Amazon to have EVERYTHING always dislpays a result. One final thing, you click on any high level product category and clearance product floats at the top. Makes the site look like a cheap discount retailer.
just like the Sears website. It s u c K s.
So many bugs in this launch I bring a can of Raid to work. Bug free my ass.
It has nothing to do with spending money wisely. They are wasting money right and left. This is about making a big show of how well you are doing so that you can milk as much money in bonuses and stock options as possible. They are counting on nobody CHECKING to see that what they are saying is true. Just say loudly and often that you are doing a wonderful job.
Like previously stated it's a shopping cart that's it. Why they didn't use the money getting the shipping automated correctly from the warehouse instead of this just begs to ask the question why? There are a many websites companies that would have built a shopping cart for next to nothing.
13068 - then it works most of the time. Notre Dame - econ 10011:01. Pre selected a book for 87.75 not the one for 77.50. Oh, and the selected book is back ordered.
12920- Pre-select lowest price can be shut off at store level, it is shut off if campus requests it. This is custom functionality.
Whoa. Your breadcrumbs are messed up. Search for a title. Select one. The breadcrumbs won't take you back to the search results. You have to start all over. That's an awful user experience.
The Follett family and board are fools to believe your lies.
I find your definition of quality quite disturbing. You declared it bug free a day after rollout, before users even had a chance to use it. Usability issues are 'minor'. I bet the student who buys the wrong book won't think it is minor.
If that is the worst of it, this is the finest Follett IT roll-out ever! The Follett family will be impressed at the board meeting this weeking. Nicely done CNS.
If I got to the U of Florida website and look at classes for summer 2014, they class show AFA 2000 as requiring INTR AFRICAN AMER STU. Your site shows FROM SLAVERY TO FREEDOM. same section number.
The department "cancelled" seems to be popular at a number of universities.
You open the printable version in a new window, but you include a "close" button that doesn't close the window but takes the user to the select a course screen. Now they have two windows open. Annoying.
Whoever heard of a printable version of a screen with breadcrumbs and active links/buttons?
Love how sometimes, but not always, one of the textbook options is pre-selected.
Notre Dame has a department 'zzzz'. Who tested this thing?
Love how you have to re-select your 'division' every time you use the "select another course" button.
LOL Love how Stanford has a department called "Canceled".
Just a few small, small issues - based on the size of the project and implementation, pretty impressive.
Are you sure? My site is missing products on the homepage.
Define bug free. Are you telling me NOBODY has reported ANY problems?
Still bug free!!!!
"bug free launch"? It's easy to declare a launch bug free if you'd don't give users any time to report defects. Just preemptively declare it bug free and hope nobody notice the defects.
It just got rolled out with already reported fixes needed, and you label it "a bug free launch" then even before your diapers are changed arrogantly and rudely follow up "with This is a new era in Follett IT and leadership". Listen up little baby until it gets tested in Rush, show some humility for various reasons; it shows you have some class and maturity that you are not displaying now, it tastes a lot better when eating crow and you want not to have made quite so any enemies which helps because as history has shown pride always comes before a fall. I wish the project success despite your unprofessional comments and chalk them up to either young age, inexperience, or an unattractive personality traits.
@12492: "Bug free launch"? LOL, I have a hard time believing that. And new era in Follett I.T. & Leadership? I'm in I.T. and if this is what you call leadership God help us. If leadership was so great, you wouldn't have morale at the lowest I've seen EVER - ANYWHERE and you wouldn't have projects that have no plan and nothing even close to good project management. I don't think anyone's buying your spin but nice try.
Our store site is screwed up too? Was this thing tested? This is what you get with hundreds of high paid consultants? Don't get rid of the Follett IT employees yet.
It is really great you "like it", but what is the pay back in terms of sales dollars and reduced cost. Where is the value prop?
This is a bug free launch, the first at Follett. This is a new era in Follett IT and leadership. This is the first step to improved sales and profitability.
12422 just report it...my issue got fixed pretty fast. They only have a few people on 1000+ sites with 1000+ different needs, give them a break it's been one day. 12451 I like it better too, it was a mess before. Better than this site lol
I like the new look and my site had minor mistakes.
