At some point you have to ask yourself what your integrity is worth, what value do you put on your soul, do you have a conscience? If you have a conscience and have become honest with yourself, you will realize that admissions reps are pawns recruited to do the dirty work and sell dreams that don't exist. This is a crooked filthy company, that dupes people into signing up for something that is a sham, if you're an admissions rep, you are at ground zero in this mess, a minion doing the dirty work of people who could care less about anybody but themselves and whatever metrics they're trying to reach. One thing I don't get is - If we can convince people to believe in themselves and take a chance to better themselves, what holds us back form doing the same for ourselves. Now I know some of you still think we are doing these people a favor and helping them. I call bullshit on that - you're living in denial, the evidence is right in front of you, so fing thick it is chocking you as you dupe another victim in to signing their life away. As for me, I'm fing out of this place, I guess my conscience caught up with me, because I just can't be a part of this crooked company anymore. I know God will provide as he always has and a new door will open. I will find a job I can be proud of and one that I can actually do some good in. To my fellow admissions reps - if your feeling that knot in your stomach and can't stay, but can't leave. My advice is leave, take your own best advice, believe in yourself and find something you can be proud to do. If you're an admissions rep and still think you're doing wonderful work, and that you're really helping these people - wake up to reality, either you are in to much fear to find something better, or you are blind.

I want to applaud you for taking a stand. There are many who feel the same way you do, don't feel alone about this. Honestly, this for-profit company has one interest and it isn't education. Instead of 'Changing one more life' you should save one more student from getting into debt with a useless degree. For your own conscience it would be best to walk away from this job, its going to sh** anyways.
Bitter....table for one please!
How can you curse and use God in the same paragraph? No true Christian would do that. Best of luck in your next venture.
@21187, It came as a great surprise to you - really. This has been coming for the at least last 3 years. I think we all enjoyed our jobs at one time, but those days are long gone.
I've done nothing wrong. In fact, I often get thanked by students for my help. I sleep well at night. If you've done something illegal or immoral, that's on you. But don't assume every employee has. All of this has come as a great surprise to me. And makes me sick and sad. I loved my job.
The reason your conscience is bothering you, is the fact you have been found out and called to the carpet for your (Admissions Department) unethical practices of knowingly, and willfully recruiting by means of high pressure tactics, and out right lying to those that you knew lacked the aptitude, drive, or social skills, much less have any intentions of ever paying off their student loan.
We in Education have complained about the quality of students being recruited for years, this practice benefits nobody except padding your own pocket by making your quota, and quite frankly I see it as a short coming of your own lack of skills, indolence, and anomie.
With that being said in my 8 years with CCI being an educator and Department chair, I have been witness to and part of many true success stories, albeit the ratio is still way too one sided, we along with Career Services have been able to at times tale lemons that you pass off to us and turn them into lemonade.
Yes there are those of us that are here that have moral and ethical fortitude, and do believe we positively impact our students lives on a daily basis threw positive reinforcement, quality education, and mentoring.
Now if you don't believe in that, or have that kind of passion the you should have never been here, and should have been weeded out long ago.
I am proud of and believe in what I do, otherwise I wouldn't put in 12 to 18 hours every single day 5 some times 6 days a week for the meager wages that I receive, and by the way I sleep well at night do you ?
there are plenty of CCi students that have been successful and plenty that haven't. Don't paint everyone with the same brush.
How about you leave and worry about your own self? Done.
You're an admissions rep that can't proofread their own writing. That's why you "admit" the same. Sad.
