As a graduate of Everest's Criminal Investigations program, it appears from the consistency in wring styles (i.e. repeated use of declarative sentence fragments, consistently intentional (or not) grammatical errors, and placement and use of proper nouns) that several of these posts are from the same person.
Your right on all points Walter. CCi screened them out before it went to the ED. They selected wisely.
More importantly, it does show they have nothing to hide and could put all these investigations to rest. They have been going on for years. Not months.
You think an accountant could handle this process? No chance. It takes an attorney, and this former prosecutor will be able to recognize potential past criminal activity. He can't initiate charges himself but he can easily hand the information over to the appropriate prosecutor.
Put in a former prosecutor to do the job of an accountant... sure, makes sense to me.
This is a helpful summary. Thank you Walter.
Sorry to disappoint 21458 and 21482 but the hiring of Mr. Fitzgerald is not going to result in federal prosecution. He is a FORMER U.S. Attorney, not a CURRENT U.S. Attorney. Plenty of current U.S. Attorney’s and federal regulators have been investigating CCi for months. With no criminal charges filed yet. Any prosecutorial actions would come from those offices, not the monitor. Mr. Fitzgerald’s central role will be ensuring compliance with the Memorandum of Understanding and racking up significant billing hours for his firm.
The DOE has to love this choice, because they have a very credible monitor in place. Hiring a tough, no-nonsense former federal prosecutor may help CCi as well because the hire basically says, “we have nothing to fear because we are going to completely comply with our Memorandum of Understanding.” Potential buyers will like it because the monitor also works for Skadden, Arps, one of the largest and most powerful law firms in the U.S., with extensive expertise in complex financial matters. A continued clean bill of health from the monitor can help assure potential investors that they can trust the numbers they are looking at (though any buyer will still do extensive due diligence). As long as the MOU is adhered to closely, this will be a win, win, win for all interested parties.

What are the directors saying will happen?
I hope it works out like my directors are telling me it will. Someone should run a statistical analysis.
Jack should be scared. This guy goes after the corrupt people. We will soon see jack in hand cuffs.
