A person may something that hurts or attacks others, not out of a desire to hurt, but out of ignorance or a lack of social skills. It's interesting to note that EU Online used to include a unit on netiquette (respectful online communication) in one of its basic life skills courses. Perhaps it's a unit that should be further developed.
Yes the use of troll is way overly broad and overused like the word bully. You don't like what I said so I must be a troll. Typical loser mentality.
Also how do we know the goals of anyone who posts here?

Certainly not all posters are interested in all discussions on a given discussion board. We're all very interested in topics that concern us directly, but less interested in topics that may not be relevant to us. I'm not especially interested in Everest College Phoenix (ECP), but I would in no way consider someone who posts a question about ECP a troll. A troll is an anonymous poster who makes posts with the goal of creating negative emotions in others, rather than providing or seeking new information, or attempting to synthesize existing information in a coherent way.

I am sure glad some of the cute ones wanted better grades. The more they were willing to do, the better the grade they "earned". Shame to CCI go away......oh well....it was a good thing while it lasted.
