It was mentioned below and got some corporate types upset. Is there still a push for collective bargaining at the campuses? It would be nice to see a raise and good benefits.

22656 I don't think it's anti union. I think people are tired of the unionize posts. CCI is selling or closing and it makes people mad that there is even this discussion. It's pointless. There can't be a union if a company is closed. And people are fed up with the utter stupidity of calling for a union. CCI will not exist in 6 months. It cannot unionize. It literally can't.
Wow. I mean this with no disrespect, but the level of understanding and discourse here is discouraging. The brilliance of the 1% is that they have managed to feed misinformation to the rest for a long time, thereby eliminating any opportunity for advancement. I saw a previous post that raved about the $60K plus for admissions reps at CCi. For a typical investment banker or mid-level manager in a brokerage, that is less than a quarterly bonus in an average year. There is no way that Everest or Heald or Wyotech employees would unionize, I get that, but do understand how the system works. You really should look at what unionization is, and everything that comes with it. It will never happen at cci for all the facts already mentioned. But, you should still learn about what it is, you then would not be advocating for one. I can't tell you how many people in different positions thought the same way and then learned the facts. Raises and better benefits? No one can squeeze water from a rock. If you want those things, work your tail off to find another job that provides what you want.
Dumdasses never think of everything, 1st) CCi will never get student loans from the government, 2nd) CCi will become a private school, 3rd) CCi will be closing 75% of the schools, 4th) No one will ever go to CCi, because it will cost out of pockets than, 5th) CCi has done reached the point of no return.

What I think is dumb assert is that a school that is being sold and/or going to teach out would unionize. It's ridiculously stupid. Don't assume what you don't know. Even when I worked for them, I didn't worship them. I collected a paycheck. (And those of you who think there's no laying off happening. You could NOT be more wrong. They just aren't telling anyone - including adjuncts who are out of jobs.)
